About Dance & Wellness

Dance & Wellness

Cary Barberich started dancing at 3 years old and studied with the pre-professional company Princeton Ballet II in high school.  While earning her BFA at NYU Tisch School of the Arts for Acting, she began her professional dance career with The Kelly Ballet, performing locally and on tour in Lake Placid, NY.

Cary went on to dance with the Charleston Ballet Theatre performing works such as Jill E. Bahr’s Romeo & Juliet, and Rite of Spring, and was a featured soloist in David Parsons’ The Envelope.  Other performances include The Nutcracker’s “Sugar Rum Sherry” with The National Ballet in Washington DC, a featured dancer in The Radio City Christmas Spectacular in Chicago, a theater dancer in The King and I with the California Music Circus in Sacramento, and a contemporary ballet dancer and aerialist with MYO in Los Angeles under the direction of Josie Walsh.

Cary was first introduced to Pilates in 1998 while dancing in Charleston.  She returned to NYC and received her Mat certification.  Years later, during her Physical Therapy career, she earned a certification in all Pilates Equipment as well as Pilates specialties, Prenatal and Postpartum, in San Francisco.  Her physical therapy background is her foundation for hands-on work, which includes John F. Barnes Myofasical Release technique, soft tissue massage and deep tissue manual work as well as many other modalities.  When Cary combines her hands-on work with Inner Alignment spiritual healing, Cary’s Intuitive bodywork sessions are truly one of a kind.
